Raising children comes with A LOT of questions. What’s supposed to happen and when? What does normal look like? How do I know when my child is ready for this? When is this developmental stage supposed to start?
To help us identify these stages and be able to support parents through the MANY questions that come up, we’re leaning on Liz Finnerty, MA, OTRL: occupational therapist and special education expert, as well as the Founder and Director of The Launch Station in Los Angeles.
Liz’s role within the O’Farm community includes helping advise and educate on self-feeding, readiness for solids, and other important milestones throughout infancy and childhood.
About Liz Finnerty
Liz Finnerty MA, OTRL is the Founder and Director of The Launch Station. She has over 24 years of experience and utilizes a family-centered, warm, and creative approach to enrich the lives of the children in her practice.
Liz holds a bachelors of science in occupational therapy and a master's degree in special education with a concentration in educational therapy. She has Advanced Training in Sensory Integration through the University of Southern California, and completed the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT) certification. She holds additional training and certifications in Learning Without Tears, Social Thinking, Zones of Regulation, S'Cool Moves, Zoo-phonics, Processing and Cognitive Enhancement (PACE), SOS Approach to Feeding, DIR/Floortime, Relationship Development Intervention (RDI), and numerous reflex integration, sensory, and visual/oculomotor courses. Liz incorporates various listening programs including: Advanced Therapeutic Listening, The Listening Program bone conduction, and Integrative Listening Systems (iLs) including the Safe and Sound protocol.
Liz combines her occupational therapy and special education backgrounds into a fun, functional, and empathetic approach. As a mother of 2 children, she provides unique insight and a strong emphasis on parent and caregiver training.
