Frequently Asked Questions

What is the recommended age for meals?

Age recommendations vary by product. Our Meal Starters and Oatmeal & Fruit meals are suitable for babies 6+ months and toddlers, while our Pasta Meals and Little Foodie Meals are designed for toddlers 12+ months. Please refer to the age recommendation on the front of the package and the preparation guidance on the back. Of course, it is ultimately up to you and your pediatrician to determine what is the best food to feed your child and when. For a full list of recommended ages, please reference our products by age blog.

How should the meals be stored?

The meals must be stored frozen. As soon as you receive your delivery, immediately place the meals and/or oats in the freezer. The meal should remain frozen until you’re ready to cook it straight from the freezer. Do not thaw before cooking.

Can I thaw or defrost the frozen meals before cooking?

No. Our meals must be cooked from frozen, not thawed. Please cook immediately after removing the meal from the freezer.

How should I cook the frozen meals?

Cooking instructions vary by meal. Please follow the microwave or stovetop directions on the back of each package.

Can I save leftovers and reheat a frozen meal if my baby doesn’t finish it?

Yes. Once cooked, you can refrigerate any leftovers for up to 3 days. We recommend
following the USDA food safety guidelines for the safe storage and reheating of leftovers.

Are frozen meals dairy free?

Our frozen meals do not contain any dairy ingredients.
