California Transparency in Supply Chains Act Disclosure

This policy was last updated on January 28, 2026.

Purpose

Once Upon a Farm is committed to nourishing our families, communities, and planet with goodness from the ground up. In alignment with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB 657), this statement outlines the steps we take to prevent slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain.

1. Verification

We evaluate and verify our ingredient and packaging supply chains to identify and address risks of forced labor or human trafficking.

  • We prioritize working with suppliers who share our values of fair labor, transparency, and environmental stewardship through their organic certification and other aligned practices.
  • Verification is risk-based and considers country of origin, commodity type, and labor practices.
  • We conduct supplier assessments and review production processes in higher-risk geographies or categories.
  • If appropriate, we will partner with third-party experts to assess human rights risks in agricultural supply chains.
  • Verification may be performed by either internal staff or independent third-party auditors

2. Audits

Once Upon a Farm conducts supplier assessments and may engage third-party audits to confirm compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct and applicable labor laws.

  • Audits can be unannounced and may include worker interviews and document reviews.
  • In cases of non-compliance, suppliers are required to implement corrective action plans. Continued non-compliance may result in termination of business.

3. Certification

Once Upon a Farm requires its direct suppliers to certify that materials incorporated into products comply with laws regarding slavery and human trafficking in the countries where they operate.

4. Internal Accountability

We maintain clear accountability standards for employees, suppliers, and contractors.

  • Our Supplier Code of Conduct prohibits any form of forced labor or human trafficking and outlines expectations for integrity in all business practices.
    • Once Upon a Farm PBC expects Suppliers to provide grievance mechanisms that are transparent, responsive, anonymous, unbiased, and confidential to workers and other parties across the value chain. Per our Supplier Code of Conduct, workers are required to know of and have access to grievance mechanisms which allow for anonymous reporting. Reported concerns and violations are addressed in a timely manner and follow a clearly outlined process. Workers who speak up in good faith are protected from retribution, retaliation, and reprisal. Once Upon a Farm PBC is notified if any concerns or violations are reported through the grievance mechanism that are in direct violation of this Supplier Code. Violations and concerns may also be reported directly to Once Upon a Farm PBC by Phone: 888.983.1606, SMS/Text: 415.233.7672 or email: care@uponafarm.com
  • Employees and managers are encouraged and required to report any suspected violations confidentially and without retaliation, based on the Employee Code of Conduct.
  • Violations of policy may result in disciplinary action, including termination or contract suspension.

5. Training

Team members who have direct responsibility for supplier relationships, sourcing, and quality assurance receive training on identifying and mitigating human trafficking and forced labor risks.

  • Training is updated annually and tailored to reflect the agricultural and packaging supply chains relevant to our products.
  • We also engage our broader team on human rights awareness as part of our sustainability and impact programs.

6. Continuous Improvement

Once Upon a Farm is committed to continuous progress in ethical sourcing and supply chain transparency.

  • Our traceability systems for organic ingredients enable us to trace products through each step of the certified organic supply chain; back to the farms and producer groups where they orginate.
  • We collaborate with partners and certification bodies that promote organic, socially responsible and ecological agricultural practices.

7. Partnerships & Collaboration:
