We use a well researched probiotic in our Dairy-Free Protein Smoothies, which is the Bacillus Coagulans BC30 strain.
BC-30 is an allergen free powdered form of a probiotic that offers many benefits compared to other probiotics.
• The cultures survive 10x more effectively than yogurt cultures
• Does not germinate until probiotic reaches intestinal tract which means the body will absorb more CFUs than other strains of probiotic that have already started to germinate prior to entering the body
• It’s been Clinically studied and supported by over 20 peer-reviewed, published papers including studies done on children so we know it is safe
• Survives High Pressure Process and maintains CFU count, while most other probiotics cannot

The Koginut used in our Farmer Jen & the Giant Squash blend is a cross between a butternut and a kobucha squash. The Koginut grown on Jennifer’s family farm has a velvety texture, concentrated sweetness, and intensely squash-y flavor. It’s grown from seeds by Row 7 Seed Company, an organic, flavor-focused seed company founded by acclaimed chef Dan Barber, vegetable breeder Michael Mazourek, and seedsman Matthew Goldfarb. We lightly steamed the squash and our blending process breaks down all the fibers to make them digestible for babies.

We believe in feeding fresh which is why we keep our blends as close to the farm as it gets. We use Cold-Pressure (HPP) to cold-press our blends and we don’t use any additives or preservatives. Our unique recipes are made with farm fresh whole fruits and veggies! A fresh approach to homemade.
Yes! All blends are Certified Organic and Non-GMO Project Verified. Our mission is to nurture our children, each other and the earth in order to pass along a healthier and happier world for the next generation and, to us, that means sourcing only certified organic, non-GMO ingredients.
The cold-pressure process applies pressure rather than heat to maintain the essential vitamins, nutrients and enzymes (plus, taste, color and texture!) of farm fresh produce, while extending shelf life so we have a little extra time to get our blends from our farms to your family. Shelf-stable baby food, on the other hand, is high heat pasteurized which affects the nutrient content, taste, color and texture and allows it to sit on the shelf at room temperature for years. Here’s a quick video to learn more!
Yes! Our blends are perishable and must be refrigerated.
You can log into your account at any time to change your blends. You will also get an email 3 days before your next charge date as a reminder. The “change blends” button will not appear if it’s too late to change blends for the upcoming order.

Simply collect your empty pouches in any box you have available, head to TerraCycle to print a free shipping label (check your inbox for the label) and send them to TerraCycle to recycle! We currently do not have any coupons available online. Please check back later.
We have tested our products for lead in the past and they have come out negative. We will be doing periodic testing of our products for lead going forward.
Please read the ingredient statement carefully on the back of every product if you have any allergen concerns. Some of our blends contain coconut (coconut is actually a fruit but the FDA treats it as a tree nut as some people may have sensitivities or allergies). The facility we use processes tree nuts, egg, dairy, and soy. Care is taken to thoroughly clean all equipment in between each product to prevent the carryover of ingredients.
If you have specific questions or concerns about your product and the facility where it has been produced, please reach out to our Customer Care team at care@uponafarm.com.
Our packaging (pouches, cups and bowls) are not microwavable. If you’d like to warm up the blend, place the cup, pouch or bowl in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes. If your little one doesn’t want the whole serving, simply spoon the desired amount into a bowl and place that into a bowl of warm water for a few minutes. Always test the food to make sure it is temperature appropriate before feeding it to your baby.
If properly refrigerated, our blends can be consumed right up until the Enjoy By Date that’s located on the back of the packaging. If your little one decides they only want some of the blend, you can re-refrigerate the rest for up to 72 hours.
Yes! They’re easy to take on-the-go and can be left out of the fridge for 4 hours. If traveling for longer than that, the pouches can be carried with an ice pack or they can be frozen and then thawed thoroughly before eating. If frozen and put in lunches, they can also help keep other food cold. To take through TSA, simply designate them as baby food and put them in a separate bin.
If you plan to freeze your pouch or cup, place them in the freezer before the Enjoy By Date. Be sure to consume them within 24 hours of thawing. We don’t recommend re-freezing blends if they’ve been frozen and thawed.
We always recommend checking with your baby’s pediatrician if you have any concerns about how much your baby is eating. For the most part, babies will eat when they’re hungry and stop when they’re full, but some babies will eat more than others and it can vary day to day (or hour to hour!). Trust your baby’s signals, but check with your pediatrician if you’re concerned.
